Mr. Claude LeGrand Jr

Claude Dennis LeGrand Jr. is a native of Virginia, originally from the tidewater area. He attended college at Hampton University in Hampton, VA where he studied music and received his Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degree in music education, with an emphasis in percussion. He taught in Manassas Park City schools for 19 years where he taught 2 years math, 8 years elementary music and 9 years as Director of bands and guitar at Manassas Park High School. He was also the Drumline Instructor for all 19 years.  Mr. LeGrand became a music educator because he wants to share the gift of music performance with others. He believes there are many different learners and as educators, it is our job to reach each learner at their own individual level. With hard work and dedication, anyone can be successful!
