Mrs. Angelique Mackey is a Special Education Teacher at Tuscarora High School. She has worked for Loudoun County Public Schools for almost ten years.
Mrs. Mackey is a career switcher who previously worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.), Surgical Technician (S.T.), Medical Esthetician (M.E.), and Laser Technician (L.T.) for surgery centers, cancer centers, and medical device facilities in Maryland, Washington D.C., California, and Virginia. In addition, she was an educator who instructed surgeons and nurses on the applications of laser and chemical technology used in operating rooms. She also practiced the arts of pharmaceutical skincare and laser treatment for skin diseases, cancer, and wounds during her twenty-two-year tenure.
Mrs. Mackey developed a hunger for reading in her early years and became a professional learner as a young adult. As such, she has taken classes and attended lectures on all topics that piqued her interest. She attended Montgomery College for fine arts and nursing. She attended the International School of Esthetics for her licensure as an Esthetician. She attended American Intercontinental University for an associate degree in business administration and Georgetown University for certification in managed health. In addition, Mrs. Mackey attended Shepherd University for her bachelor’s degree and is currently attending George Mason University to complete her master’s degree in special education.
