Hello! Welcome to 8^th grade Physical Science. My name is Jamie Shaner and I am so excited to be starting my first year at Smart’s Mill Middle School. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and I am certified to teach grades K-6 as well as Middle School Math and Science. I am originally from western Pennsylvania and I moved to Loudoun County with my husband in 2011 to teach 5^th grade at Meadowland Elementary.  After taking some time off to raise my three boys, I am thrilled to be returning to the classroom!  I currently live in Leesburg with my husband, Mr. Shaner, who also teaches here at Smart’s Mill, our three sons and two dogs. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.
