Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Kenny

Kimberly Kenny

My name is Kimberly Kenny. This will be my 7th year as a school counselor in Loudoun County. I have a master’s degree in counselor education from Virginia Tech and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Mason University. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I worked in community mental health for several years.

When I am not at school, you can find me spending quality time with my family and dog, Chance. We enjoy snow sports, running, cooking and photography.

I will be working with students in grades K and 3 this year. My role as a school counselor is to support students’ academic success, career exploration, and social/emotional growth during this time. I provide individual and small group counseling as well as classroom lessons to help students reach their maximum potential. In addition to working directly with students, I collaborate with parents, teachers, administration, and other stakeholders in the community in order to ensure students receive the support they need to achieve and accomplish their goals.

I strongly believe in a team approach and I am excited to partner with you and your child this year. I would enjoy the opportunity to learn more about your child’s individual needs. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email at if you have any questions or concerns. I would be HAPPY to help!
