Mrs. Mahmood

Welcome to my page!

My name is Najia Mahmood and this is my first year at Trailside Middle School as a special education teacher. My focus will be on 6th-grade math. I am excited about starting this new journey! I worked as an assistant teacher for three years at Stone Bridge High School. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education from George Mason University. I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in Special Education General Curriculum K-12 from George Mason University. I grew up and lived almost half my life in Ashburn, Virginia. I love to travel, cook, eat, and watch amazing documentary shows. I always wanted to become a teacher when I grew up and I am finally fulfilling my dreams. Teaching runs in my family as my mother and aunt are teachers as well, so the inspiration came to my heart. I am looking forward to an amazing year!
