Miss Parry

Hello and welcome to second grade! My name is Isabel Parry and I am a first year teacher here at Countryside Elementary School. I am thrilled to be teaching second grade and I am ready for a great school year.

I recently graduated from Virginia Tech where I received a Bachelor's in Human Development and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction for grades K-6. While at Virginia Tech, I had the opportunity to student-teach and substitute in Roanoke City Public Schools and Montgomery County Public Schools. During this time, I learned the ins and outs of teaching and the value of creating a learning environment that caters to different types of learners. My goal for the school year is to shape your students into thoughtful and inquisitive thinkers who are ready for third grade.

Despite being new to teaching, I am not new to the area. I was born and raised in Loudoun County and graduated from Dominion High School. When I am not teaching, I enjoy working out, watching sports, cooking and spending time with friends.

I am extremely passionate about teaching and can't wait to start working with you and your students. I am excited to see the students grow and develop as the year goes on.  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me.

Best,

Miss. Parry
