Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Snead

Hello students and families!

My name is Mrs. Snead and I am so excited to be your kindergarten teacher this year! I was born and raised in Ashburn and always dreamed of becoming an elementary school teacher.  I earned my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education for Diverse Learners from George Mason University. While pursuing my Masters degree, I taught preschool and outdoor kindergarten enrichment at St. David's Episcopal School. This will be my 7th year in public education. I taught first grade at Liberty Elementary in South Riding for three years, and then taught first grade for three more years in South Carolina following my husband's job relocation.

We have had a very exciting summer in my family. We moved back to Loudoun County from South Carolina and we also welcomed a new member to the family-our daughter, Kayleigh! She was born on July 26th and is the sweetest little baby. When I am not at school, you will find me snuggling with Kayleigh, playing with our dog, Captain, and spending time with the rest of my family. I am also passionate about skiing, reading mystery novels, cooking, and working out!

I know we are going to have a wonderful year learning and growing together. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I look forward to getting to know your family!
