Mrs. Mara Moreland

Hi! I'm Mara Moreland.  I am very excited to be returning to Lowes Island as a Special Education Teacher. This is my second year as a Special Education teacher. I was an Elementary School teacher for 9 years before having my daughters, Reagan and Quinn.  Reagan is in 5th grade and Quinn in 2nd at LIES. 

I got my Elementary Education degree from Hofstra University and my Masters in Reading and Literacy from Walden University, and my Special Education Certification from George Mason University.  

In my free time I love to cook and garden with my daughters, walk outside, and read as many books as possible.
