Mr. Don DeMember

I am excited to join the River Bend staff for the 2022-2023 school year.  I spent the last 20 years as the head of the science department and engineering teacher at Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, Maryland.  Previous to that, I helped open Kingsview Middle, a new middle school in Germantown, Maryland.  I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher with my undergraduate degree in Marine Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and well as graduate training at UMCP and McDaniel College.  Outside of school, I enjoy serving on the crew of a hot air balloon company, playing and building guitars, and hiking with my wife.  I have four grown children.
