Mr. Jim McConnell

My name is Jim McConnell and I am the newest addition to the 4th grade team at Tolbert.  I was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania (go Steelers and Penguins), but have called Virginia my home for the last 18 years.  I previously taught 3rd and 4th grade in Frederick County, Virginia.  When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my wife (also a teacher), two sons, daughter, dog and cat.  I love coffee, reading, music, traveling, and spending as much time as I can fishing.  I am excited about joining the Tolbert family, and can't wait for this new adventure in my teaching career.
