Ms. Karen Gill

Karen Gill grew up in southeastern Massachusetts and has always loved working with children. Ms. Gill has experience working at a boarding school for special needs children and young adults as well a residential treatment facility for youth-at-risk and juvenile offenders. Ms. Gill also often volunteered in her son’s schools in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties before joining the Stone Bridge High School team as a SPED Teacher Assistant.

As a teenager herself, Ms. Gill studied classical ballet, modern dance, and character dance at the Boston Ballet School. She performed in Boston Ballet’s world-renowned production of “The Nutcracker,” along with winning a full tuition scholarship to the Bossov Ballet Theater’s summer intensive program. Ms. Gill also currently teaches Russian Vaganova-style classical ballet to ages 3 through adult at Ave Maria Academy of Ballet in Ashburn.

Along with dance, in her free time Ms. Gill enjoys reading, creative writing, playing video games, attending concerts, being in nature, and exploring her genealogy. Ms. Gill and her son, a Trailside Middle-Schooler, have lived in Northern Virginia since 2014.
