Students in grades 3-5 at Luckets Elementary participate in the Common Sense Media digital citizenship program in order to help them become safe and effective users of the internet. These students participate in a series of lessons that focus on becoming good digital citizens. Through these lessons and activities, the students learn how to make good choices while using the powerful resources on the internet that are now available to them. Lessons focus on safe and secure passwords, sharing of private and public information, social interactions online, reading news online, the power of our words, and cyberbulling. We hope you will review with your child the lessons that have been provided and continue to reinforce good digital citizenship at home. More information about the Common Sense Media and Digital Citizenship Program can be found at the Common Sense Media website.
