    Next Steps & Additional Information: After the end of the application window on Friday, November 11, all Stingray Leader applications will be sent anonymously to a review committee made up of SHMS staff. The review committee will ensure that applications are complete, including two teacher recommendations and a written response. After reviewing each student’s recommendations and their written response explaining why they would make a great candidate, up to four (4) finalists per grade level team will be announced. These finalists will then create a persuasive video about their candidacy that will be voted on by their peers. The two students in each grade level team with the most votes will be elected as a Stingray Leader.

    **Aside from potential volunteer opportunities for after-school events, Stingray Leader meetings and activities will take place during the school day. There is no after-school commitment, so being a Stingray Leader will not affect your ability to participate in after-school clubs or other activities!
