LCPS Bullying Prevention and Education Policy: Here

Bullying Prevention Coordinator for FHR: Brenda Jochems

LCPS implements a county-wide bullying prevention program to teach students how to identify bullying behavior and appropriate ways to handle bullying.

The Second Step Bullying Prevention Program is new this year. It will be implemented school-wide. Our administration and school counselors will provide staff development. Our School Counselors will teach the Second Step Bullying Prevention Curriculum during classroom guidance lessons during October and November. The key phrase taught to students through the Second Step Bullying Prevention Curriculum is RECOGNIZE, REPORT, REFUSE.

***Parents - If you feel your child is dealing with bullying behaviors, please contact our Bullying Prevention Coordinator, Brenda Jochems. Feel free to contact the school counselors as well.
