Amnesty International Club
  •      Amnesty International is a club of students who want to respond to the world's injustices. We help raise money for places that need assistance. For example, in 2018 we raised money for helping the Loudoun Coaition of Haiti to send supplies to Haiti. We also hosted a member of this committee to speak to the club about the problems in Haiti. The club at LCH was founded by a concerned student who has moved on to college where she writes for her university's newspaper abput injustices around the world.

Amnesty International is a non-governmental agency which is the largest grassroots organization in the world. It was founded in 1961 in reaction to two Portuguese students who were jailed for celebrating freedom. As the website states " We work to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth, and dignity are denied." This is achieved through awareness and action. We welcome all students who are concerned about the world's issues and want to make a difference both locally and abroad.
