Mrs. Kristin Bredice
Welcome to an exciting new year at Frederick Douglass Elementary! I am looking forward to teaching fourth grade again at Frederick Douglass. I want to do my best to ensure that the students in our class have a positive and productive year. The sooner I get to know the students, the better. So, please feel free to reach out to let me know about concerns, likes, dislikes, fears and hopes for this upcoming year.
I have always loved school. I graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Child Psychology. I received my Masters in Education from Marymount University. I began teaching in Fairfax County. This will be my 20th year teaching.
I have lived in Lucketts since 1995 and raised 4 children in Loudoun County. My oldest daughter is moving to Richmond and getting married in November!. My second daughter just finished nursing school. My son is in pilot school at Ft. Rucker, Alabama flying Black Hawk Helicopters. And my youngest daughter is finishing her senior year at Virginia Tech. So, I am an empty nester with just my two dogs and two cats. Mr. Bredice keeps me company too!
Once again, I am excited about our upcoming year together in fourth grade! My philosophy is to ignite a love of reading, inspire budding writers, motivate problem solving and thinking skills in math and science, as well as create an atmosphere of kindness and respect. Go Team Bredice! Please know that I am flexible and try to be a good communicator. Please feel free to email with any questions and/or concerns. Email
I am looking forward to a productive and wonderful year with our 4th grade class.
