Jessica Butler is excited to be the librarian at Hillside Elementary School. After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Delaware, she accepted a teaching assistantship and completed the Master of Arts program in Communication at U of D. She then spent time taking graduate courses at Cornell University before moving to Northern Virginia to work as a market researcher at a Public Relations firm. She has worked for LCPS for 4 years and completed a Master of Education in School Librarianship at Longwood University. 

Mrs. Butler grew up in Brooklyn, New York and spent her high school years in New Jersey. She has lived in Loudoun County for 18 years. She loves to spend her time with her family and Labradoodle named Finnegan. 

Mrs. Butler is a published author who has helped name a fruit and developed content for the website of a presidential candidate. She is a voracious reader who looks forward to meeting and supporting the Hillside community.
