Mr. Gary Christian
Mr. Christian is in his second year of teaching. He is what we call a “career switcher.” Prior to joining the Robey faculty, Mr. Christian was an independent filmmaker who worked as a scriptwriter and producer for forty years. Most of his documentary films were made for large corporations and educational institutions with some feature work for sports and broadcast networks. His desire to become an English teacher grew out of personal motivations to support our community and a desire to pass on knowledge of writing and producing films so that young people could continue the traditions he learned in film school. He recently received a masters in education from George Mason University. As a teacher, Mr. Christian believes he can learn as much from his students about life and community as they will learn from him during their time together reading and writing.
