Mrs. Kim Tran

Mrs. Tran has worked in community mental health services for 5 years before employment as a school social worker at Rock Ridge High School. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and obtained her Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology shortly thereafter from Marymount University. In 2021, she graduated with a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Advanced Clinical Studies and continued her work in mental health services.  She is currently a Supervisee in Social Work for Clinical Licensure. 

Mrs. Tran's office is located in the Counseling wing in the Main Office. She is a part of the Sources of Strength, Restorative Practice Tier 1/2 and PEER programs. She runs several student groups throughout the year with Mrs. Swirchak, School Psychologist, and Mrs. Fiona Brown, Student Assistance Specialist.  Mrs. Tran is a part of the Unified Mental Health Team. 

The Unified Mental Health Team (UMHT) is comprised of the school psychologist, school social worker, student assistance specialist, school counselors, school nurse, and administrators. The mission of the UMHT is to promote school-wide mental health initiatives within a multi-tiered system of support. The team is responsible for providing a continuum of prevention and intervention supports and services to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students and to remove barriers to learning in the school environment.
