Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Tom Snarsky

Tom Snarsky taught math for five years in Massachusetts before moving to Virginia. He was a Noyce Teaching Fellow at Tufts University and is now a Senior Fellow at the Knowles Teacher Initiative. Like the mathematician Karl Weierstrass, he believes that “a mathematician who is not also something of a poet will never be a complete mathematician,” so in his free time he writes poems and hosts an online poetry reading series. He is really excited about problem-solving, sensemaking, and collaboration in the mathematics classroom, and he tweets about all of the above @MrSnarsky.
