Ms. Wright
Hello!
I am Ms. Jordan Wright and this is my 2nd year of teaching.
I graduated from James Madison University in 2020, where I was the assistant director of JMU's String Project, which taught 5-6 year olds how to play the violin. While there I was apart of many research projects including topics such as string pedagogy, music technology, class room management, etc. I have presented my research at the state, national, and international level. Instead of going right into teaching, I decided to obtain a research focused Music Education Masters at University College London, where I have written over 20,000 words just to do with music education research! I am currently a part of the Manassas Symphony Orchestra, which performs in the Hylton Center for the Performing Arts while being an active member in the American String Teacher's Association.
If you couldn't tell, research is a very important part of my teaching philosophy! Therefore I like to try new things in the classroom that are backed by the latest research. This means sometimes we will have a great fun time while other times may be a bit of a mess- but thats okay!!!
A bit about me is that I am originally from London, UK (Yes I have an accent). I have a cat named Phineas, who is super loud and affectionate. I have a dog named Merlin who loves to play fetch and cuddle on the couch. I love video games and playing DnD during my free time. I love traveling with my boyfriend and going on adventures to random places.
Lets have a fun year back in the classroom!!
