Thank you for visiting our website! The 2022 Fall Admissions Cycle is for 8th graders applying for 9th grade enrollment to the Academies of Loudoun for the 2023-2024 school year. This website is where you will find the most current information about the admissions process and the criteria necessary to apply to the Academy of Engineering & Technology (AET) and/or the Academy of Science (AOS) programs. The Admissions & Outreach Team is here to support you through this process. We will be conducting a number of Fall Admissions Information Sessions throughout Loudoun County (see schedule below) and visiting with all of our LCPS 8th graders at their schools during the Fall Admissions Cycle. Application Timeline & Requirements
Application Window Opens | August 17, 2022
Application Window Closes | October 24, 2022 - Fall admissions window will close at 11:00 PM
Fall Admissions Testing Sessions | November 5, 12, and 19, 2022 (Choose one Saturday)
Late March 2023 - admissions offers will be posted in admissions portal
March-August 2023 (Applicants must accept or decline all admissions offers. Waitlisted applicants will be notified as seats become available.)

All applicants:
- Enrolled in Algebra I or above at the time of application
- Writing Assessment
- STEM Thinking Skills Assessment
- Final grade of C or above in math and science courses in grades 6 and 7, and semester I of grade 8

Testing Accommodations Information
STEM Thinking Skills Assessment/Writing Assessments AccommodationsStudents who are requesting testing accommodations for the Writing Assessment or STEM Thinking Skills Assessment must request the accommodations in writing to AcademiesAdmissions@lcps.org no later October 24, 2022.
Important: Only accommodations for standardized assessments that are part of an IEP (Individualized Education Program), Section 504 Plan, or an EL-APP (English Learner Assessment Participation Plan) can be considered.

Private and Home Schooled Applicant Instructions - FALL**Home/Private schools students offered admission to the Academies of Loudoun must be enrolled concurrently as full-time LCPS students in order to attend the Academies of Loudoun.
