Hello Pioneers!

  • I am originally from Richmond, Virginia, which is where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia in 2005.  In 2014 I earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University.  This is my 16th year in education.  My first 5 years were spent teaching Spanish at the middle school level in Richmond.  After getting married, I moved up here and spent the next 6 years teaching Spanish at the high school level.  This is my 5th year at Smart's Mill as a dean.

My husband and I are kept on our toes by our three daughters, Sophia (6), Julia (4), and Olivia (2).  We like to spend time with friends and family, ride bikes, play board games and dress up, and watch anything with Disney princesses.  I love traveling and photography, and have been to Spain, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Croatia, St. Maarten, Aruba, and Canada.  In my younger days, I played volleyball, basketball, and soccer, and loved the time I spent in Show Choir and Girl Scouts.

If you need to reach me, please email me at sarah.letina@lcps.org or call me at 571-434-4520.  I look forward to getting to know and supporting my students and families this year!  Let's go, Pioneers!  We make it happen!
