Mrs. Jane E Barden

Welcome to kindergarten! I am thrilled to be teaching kindergarten at Discovery Elementary. This is my third year at Discovery and my tenth year teaching full-time. I received a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Arizona and received my elementary teaching license from Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis. Prior to teaching, I managed a small corporate fitness center in Washington, D.C. My past teaching experiences include being a kindergarten and first grade teacher at Forest Grove Elementary for seven years and substituting in Loudoun County for six years. I love spending time walking, hiking, gardening, and watching HGTV. I am passionate about the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Pacers, my children, Emma and Maxfield, and my husband, Scott plus our menagerie of dogs, a cat, and my daughter's horse!
