Mr. Rodney M. Jones, Jr

Mr. Jones is excited to be part of the Potomac Falls Family, coming aboard in 2021. He taught seven years as a Social Science Teacher and served four years as Assistant Principal at Loudon Valley High School, here in Loudon County prior to coming to PFHS. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in history and his Master’s Degree in teaching from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Mr. Jones, also, graduated with a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Shenandoah University.
During his college and teaching years, Mr. Jones spent many summers working for Quantum Learning Network based in Oceanside, California. He was a Site Administrator for their summer camp division called SuperCamp. He has set up educational camps for students in Virginia, North Carolina, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, New York and California.
Mr. Jones is the administrator for the English Department and the Special Education Department for the 2022-2023 school year. He is also the administrator for students whose last names are in the alphabets from O-Z.
Mr. Jones was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and a graduate of Spotsylvania County Public Schools. He did his student teaching in the Albemarle County Public Schools System before joining the Loudon County Family. He is an avid football fan, his passion is for the Washington Football Team, and University of Virginia teams. (Go Hoos!!!) Mr. Jones looks forward to a great year here at PFHS.
