My name is Viral Thakker. I am the Physical therapist at Hillside Elementary School, Mill Run Elementary School, Madison's Trust Elementary School, Creighton's Corner Elementary School, Rosa Lee Carter Elementary School, Belmont Station Elementary School, Farmwell Station Middle School and Briar Woods High School.

I have been working as a Physical Therapist in the school based setting for the last 10 years. Before joing the school based setting,  I enjoyed working in the clinical settings of hospitals, skilled nursing and out patient clinics in Florida and Virginia.

My academic background includes a Doctorate in Physical therapy from Shenandoah University.

 I live in Fairfax, Virginia with my two beautiful daughters. As a family we enjoy spending time outdoors.

I work with students that range from preschool age through high school that have been found eligible for Physical therapy services. If you have concerns about your childs gross motor skills,  (ages 2-4 years) you can contact the Child Find department at 571-252-2180 to set up an appointment for a Gross Motor screening. For school aged students you can contact your child's teacher or a school administrator.
