Mrs. Jennifer Canales, NBCT

I have been a music educator for 19 years. I have taught k-12, general music, ukulele, band, marching band, chorus, orchestra and steel drums! I have spent the last decade in elementary music. 

I have done my undergraduate & masters degree in music education (percussion) at The Florida State University. Go Noles!!! I have been Nationally Board certified in Music Education since 2009. I have taught in Florida, Hawaii, North Carolina and Virginia. 

Music builds life-long relationships. Music has allowed me to share performing experiences in Japan, Europe, Disneyland, Disney World, and the Macy's Day Parade in New York City. I was Weeksville Teacher of the year in 2019 and was a top three finalist in the ECPPS District. Most recently, I was a Grammy Music Educator Semi Finalist for 2021. 

I am a military brat (USCG) and military spouse (USCG). I am a proud mother of two beautiful children and love looking for seashells at the beach.
