My name is Sahar Amirifar and I am so excited for my third year in 2nd grade team at Potowmack Elementary.

I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. I moved to Virginia in 2010. I am so excited to be teaching in the same county I completed part of my education in. In addition to that, I have been a substitute teacher in Loudoun County for 6 years. I currently live in Sterling with my fiance and dog. 

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education and Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2019 at George Mason University. 

Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family and friends, taking walks with my dog, shopping and traveling.

I am excited for the growth that our class will make individually and together over the 2023-2024 school year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
