• Hello Vikings!!
Here is important information regarding Graduation:

Attention seniors and parents of seniors – graduation is fast approaching!

The class of 2021 graduation ceremony will be held on June 12 at 9:00 am in Leonard Stadium on the Loudoun Valley Campus. Gates will open at 7:00 am.

LCPS has recently lifted restrictions impacting the setup of graduation to give us the flexibility to prepare a more traditional ceremony for the Class of 2021.

COVID mitigation changes per LCPS:  Based on the guidelines from the Governor, masks are not required for vaccinated students, staff, or guests outdoors. Masks are still required for everyone when inside the school.  Additionally, we are no longer required to socially distance seating, however, so that all graduates are comfortable, seating for graduates is slightly over 3 feet apart.

Seating:  Each graduate will receive five tickets for family members and friends to attend the ceremony. Seating for all guests will be in the stadium stands and seat selection in the stadium stands is first come, first served.

Note:  We will set up limited handicap accessible seating sections under two tent shelters on the stadium field for individuals - again based on first come first served. In addition, seating in the air-conditioned auditorium will be available for elderly or handicapped who prefer a cooler environment. The live stream link would be viewed in the auditorium on the large screen using the auditorium sound system.

Livestream:  Graduation will be livestreamed for family members unable to attend the ceremony. Livestream Link  - here is the link for the Loudoun Valley High School Graduation.

Weather:  The ceremony will take place rain or shine. Please plan accordingly.  However, if the forecast calls for a severe storm with thunder and lightning at the time of the ceremony, we will postpone graduation until 11:00 am on June 12th. Dr. Ross will send a ConnectED message to seniors, parents of seniors, and faculty no later than 5:30 am the morning of graduation IF and only IF we need to change our start time due to inclement weather.

Parking:  Parking is limited at LVHS, so we will run shuttle bus service from both Blue Ridge middle school and Harmony middle school to get families and guests to and from the ceremony.  Shuttle service will run from 6:30am before the ceremony begins and again from the conclusion of the ceremony until 1pm to return guests to their vehicles at Blue Ridge and Harmony. The busses will be sanitized after each last shuttle by the bus driver.  Passengers may wear a mask, however, based on the guidelines from the Governor they are not required for vaccinated students, staff, or guests.

Photographs: Parents and family members are not permitted to approach the stage to take pictures during the ceremony. Lifetouch photography will be capturing each graduate on stage. Here is the link to order those pictures - Lifetouch Photos . In addition, the ceremony will be recorded. LVH Grad Video  to order the recording of the ceremony .  Finally, local photographer, Sarah Huntington will be offering individual and family graduation portraits following the graduation ceremony. Huntington Photography - here is the link to schedule a portrait session with Sarah Huntington.
