• Welcome to the KWC Counseling Homepage

I am the the full time counselor, Ms Jeananne Shultz, and am available to consult and collaborate with families throughout the year.  Students can request to visit with me by filling out a slip on my door or having their classroom teacher contact me.  Parents may contact me or Mrs. Michelle Pinckney (exclusively providing classroom lessons) by calling 540-751-2540 or by sending us an email.

Mrs. Michelle Pinckney joins us on Wednesdays and will be teaching the school counseling lessons for students in grades K, 1, 2, and 4.

In addition to the school counselors, KWC's other members of the United Mental Health Team* are Susan Sparks (School Social Worker), Jenny Cumiskey (School Psychologist), and Anna Williams (parent liaison). The mission of the UMHT is to promote school-wide mental health initiatives within a multi-tiered system of support. The team is responsible for providing a continuum of prevention and intervention supports and services to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students and to remove barriers to learning in the school environment.

*The school counselor is the first point of contact for initial student concerns.  The school counselor will collaborate and plan for supports with other school-based mental health team members (i.e., school psychologist, school social worker, student assistance specialist), as appropriate.

Please let me know if there is anything you need throughout the school year!  Email:  Ms. Jeananne Shultz
