Ms. Shelby Allen

Hi everyone! I am beyond excited to be starting my third year at Trailside! I am the school psychologist for Trailside, so I’ll be working with all grade levels. Feel free to stop by and say “hi!”

I grew up in Western New York in a place where nothing really happens, which is probably why I left.  I studied psychology in Albany for my Bachelor’s degree.  After that, I moved to Boston to attend Tufts University for graduate school. I earned my Master’s and Educational Specialist degrees in School Psychology.

When I’m not working (or in quarantine), I teach swim lessons at a community center near where I live.  I also love to travel. I’ve been to Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, Poland, Uganda, Mexico, and Canada.  When travel is permitted again, I’m planning a trip to Southeast Asia.

I recently got engaged, and we're planning on getting married sometime next year.  I am also the proud owner/mother of two cats: Stella and Artemis.  They’re a handful, but I love them.  

I’m looking forward to working with the students, staff, and families at Trailside again this year!
