Mrs. Beth Healy Weatherford
Hello! I am happy to be at Harper Park for my 22nd year as a School Psychologist.
A little about me. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology, with a minor in Biology, from Virginia Tech and my Masters degree in School Psychology and an Educational Specialist Degree from Radford University. This is my 6th year at Harper Park and I am so happy to be a part of such a strong Unified Mental Health Team. I am also the Restorative Practice lead for the Leesburg Cluster. Personally, I live in Leesburg with my husband, two children (12 and 8), two dogs, and a cat. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, working out, walking my dogs, watching my children play softball and baseball, and taking pictures.
Who are School Psychologists:
School psychologists are uniquely qualified members of school teams that support students' ability to learn and teachers' ability to teach. We apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior, to help children and youth succeed academically socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. We partner with families, teachers, school administrators, and other professions to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community.
