• Mrs. Thomas has been teaching since January of 2012, and started teaching at Park View High School in November of 2019. She is currently teaching African American History, AP World History and World History II. She has also taught US/VA History, EL Government, Sociology, World History, and a senior capstone research class. 

    Mrs. Thomas graduated from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse with a BA in Archaeological Studies in 2007, and also earned an MA in Anthropology from Binghamton University in 2009, and an MS in Education from the University of New Haven in 2011. Prior to her career as a teacher, Mrs. Thomas was an archaeologist working at the site of Pirque Alto, just outside of Cochabamba, Bolivia. Her research focused on the use of camelids (llamas and alpacas) and associated trade relationships between the Cochabamba Valley and the altiplano region of Bolivia. 

    In her free time, Mrs. Thomas is an avid reader, occasional artist, and sci-fi enthusiast. She is married to Dr. Colin Thomas (also an archaeologist) and they have two cats, Evey and Jaffa.
