Miss Benteler

Miss Benteler is SO excited to begin her third year at Cedar Lane! Miss Benteler went to elementary, middle and high school in Loudoun County and is excited to be teaching where she grew up! Miss Benteler attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she received her bachelors in Special Education and Disability Services. She also attended graduate school at George Mason University. This will be Miss Benteler's ninth year teaching, she has co-taught in Kindergarten, 1st grade, 3rd grade and 4th grade! She also has taught a K-2 Emotional Disabilities class, and was a teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing in Pittsburgh, PA. Additionally, Miss Benteler was a co-teaching demonstration site for the state of Virginia last year, and will be again this year and cannot wait to share her experience with Cedar Lane!

In her free time she enjoys watching Pittsburgh sports, spending time with her family, walking her 5 year old labradoodle, Heidi and 1 year old goldendoodle, Bennett.

Miss Benteler believes that all students learn in different ways, and ensures that we meet the needs of all students in each classroom she enters. She implements this through growth mindset, whole brain teaching, responsive classroom techniques, and personalized/differentiated learning. Miss Benteler hopes to have a great year with both you and your child!
