Music in LCPS

LCPS offers a comprehensive music program in grades K-12. Music is required of all students in grades K-6. Music is required in grade 6 and the offerings include band, chorus, strings, and general music. Band, chorus, guitar, and strings in grades 7 and 8 are electives. In grades 9-12, a full program of electives is offered including multiple levels of band, chorus, guitar, and orchestra.
