• Welcome Mavericks!

This is my second year at The Mill and I am so excited to be teaching Math 6 and MEED (Math Lab) this year! I live in Leesburg with my husband and two dogs, Sarge and Sukia. I am originally from New Jersey, and have only been living in Virginia since early 2020. If you are walking or driving on King Street in the evenings or weekend mornings you are likely to spot us going for a walk, just look for the floofy husky!

I have been a teacher since 2012 and through a variety of positions have always found my home in middle school math classes. I am a graduate of Lock Haven University and Bloomsburg University, both of which are small state schools in Pennsylvania. I am also a proud Nationally Board Certified Teacher.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading and cooking. I am obsessed with dinosaurs and owls and love to cover my classroom in them. My favorite season is Fall because it is when all of the most exciting events happen from birthdays (mine, my husband’s, and my dad’s) to my wedding anniversary!

I can be reached by e-mail danielle.bottesch@lcps.org or through direct messaging on Schoology.
