• Welcome to first grade at Liberty Elementary School! My name is Miss Walsh and I am so excited for this year together!

I went to James Madison University where I earned a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies with a minor in Elementary Education in 2019. I attended JMU for graduate school as well and graduated in 2020 with a Master of Arts in Teaching.

I was fortunate enough to work at Liberty as a long-term substitute in Mrs. Schoenherr's fifth grade class in the spring of 2020, while also completing student teaching for my Master's Degree. Over the years, I have worked with students in a variety of age groups, ranging from preschool to fifth grade.

This will be my third year teaching first grade at Liberty! Teaching first grade has always been a dream of mine. I look forward to getting to know all of you and your students.

I grew up in Loudoun County and graduated from Briar Woods High School. I am very excited to be back in Loudoun as an educator! I have also returned to Briar Woods as a cheerleading and gymnastics coach!

When I am not teaching, I am usually exploring outdoors or hanging out with friends and family. I love to travel and was lucky enough to study abroad during the summer of 2018.

Some of my favorite things include Starbucks, alpacas, sloths, the beach, and shopping at Target or Amazon.
