• Welcome to first grade at Liberty Elementary School! My name is Miss Walsh and I am so excited for this year together!

I went to James Madison University where I earned a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies with a minor in Elementary Education in 2019. I attended JMU for graduate school as well and graduated in 2020 with a Master of Arts in Teaching.

I was fortunate enough to work at Liberty as a long-term substitute in fifth grade during the spring of 2020, while also completing student teaching for my Master's Degree. Over the years, I have worked with students in a variety of age groups, ranging from preschool to fifth grade.

This will be my fourth year teaching first grade at Liberty! Teaching first grade has always been a dream of mine. I look forward to getting to know all of you and your students.

I grew up in Loudoun County and graduated from Briar Woods High School. I am very happy to be back in Loudoun as an educator!

When I am not teaching, I am usually exploring outdoors or hanging out with friends and family. I love to travel and had an amazing time this summer in Italy with my family. I got engaged in July in my favorite place, Florence!
