Welcome Back Seneca Ridge Students and Parents!
I am very excited to be starting my first year at Seneca Ridge Middle School! I taught high school history and lead the youth GED program in Prince William County for 15 years prior to transferring to LCPS this year. I graduated from West Liberty University with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and became a counselor in an outdoor therapy camp for juvenile offenders and then a counselor in a juvenile detention center. After several years in the juvenile justice system, I realized I had a deeper passion and wanted to empower the lives of youth through knowldege, helping them find success in school that would lead them to discover positive worth and self esteem. I returned to school and earned my Masters degree from George Mason University (2003), in Special Education and completed a second Masters degree (2012) in Administration. I love to learn and I love to see that light bulb go on when my students grasp new concepts. Teaching and learning are powerful tools and I hope this year to not only teach, but to learn all I can about how WE can make this year our best yet.
I feel very lucky to be welcomed by such an incredible team, and that includes YOU!
Together we are going to have one AMAZING year!
