Mr. Wesley Harris
Hello Timberwolves! My name is Wesley Harris and I am excited to join the pack as the 8th-grade dean for the 2020-21 school year. I am a proud graduate of Loudoun Valley High School. Following high school, I attended West Virginia University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks and Recreation and Tourism Resource Management. I then attended George Mason University and earned my Master’s Degree in Special Education. I recently returned to George Mason and earned a Masters Level Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. Prior to becoming a Timberwolf, I spent four years as a self-contained Autism program teacher at Stone Hill Middle School. Then I became a Specialized Facilitator for Autism programs for the past three years. I am passionate about working with students and guiding them to be successful not only in the classroom, but in their communities as well.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and my two-and-a-half-year old daughter. I also enjoy captaining the local men’s rugby team. I also love to travel! So far I have been able to travel to 9 different European countries. I had the opportunity to combine two of my favorite hobbies by going on a rugby tour throughout southern England when I was 19. My next big trip is to visit my brother-in-law in Japan.
I know next school year may look different than what it has looked like in the past, but I am excited to get to know the whole school community and help the 8th class grow throughout the school year.
