Degrees and Certifications:
Bachelor of Science - Multiple Abilities Program Master of Education - Administration & Supervision
Hello Trailside Timberwolves! I hope you all had an excellent summer.
I am very happy to be back with "The Pack" this year! This will be my second year at Trailside and my tenth year working in LCPS. Prior to coming to Trailside, I worked at Countryside Elementary in Sterling for eight years. Seven of those years, I taught fourth grade and the other year I looped up with my class to be their fifth grade teacher. I had a great time teaching at the elementary level, but I really love working with middle schoolers!
I graduated from the Multiple Abilities Program at the University of Alabama, which gave me a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I am a huge Alabama football fan... Roll Tide!
I believe that education never stops, so I went back to school to pursue another degree. I recently graduated from the Administration and Supervision Program at the University of Virginia. This would allow me to eventually be a dean, assistant principal, or principal if I choose to pursue that path!
Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, cooking, watching sports, and spending time with my family. My wife is the school counselor at Rolling Ridge Elementary in Sterling. Our first child, Paul, is fifteen months old and he keeps us very busy!
I work very hard to form positive relationships with all of my students and each day I go out of my way to show them how much I care. We work hard in my classroom, but have a lot of fun at the same time. I believe every child can be successful and it is an honor to be able to help your child in this process.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me through email at firstname.lastname@example.org or you may call the school and I will get back to you. I believe communication is vital to success. This school year is going to be so much fun! I can't wait for the first day and meeting all of my new students!
