Ms. Alexa Kanakry

Hi! I'm Ms. Kanakry and this is my second year teaching orchestra at Potomac Falls High School and J.L. Simpson Middle School. I'm from Columbia, MD and studied music education and Spanish at Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania. I spent a year teaching English in Galicia, Spain and now I'm here at PFHS!

I play the cello and my favorite sport to play and watch is ice hockey (Let's go Rangers!). I also love to read, exercise, spend time with family and friends (including my dog and cat), and travel. I'm looking forward to making music together in person this year!
