Hi Arcola Dragons! My name is Kara Smith and I am one of the fourth grade teachers at Arcola! This will be my third year teaching at Arcola, I previously taught 6th grade English at Mercer Middle School. I graduated from James Madison University with a master's degree in elementary education, and actually completed part of my student teaching placement at Arcola. In my free time I love to run, boat, and spend time with my family! I also coach cross country and track at Lightridge High School. I'm looking forward to a great year!
