Ms. Means, Joanne

Ms. Means is an 8th grade Language Arts teacher and Instructional Specialist. She began as a Special Education Teaching Assistant and moved into teaching in 2019. Ms. Means has an associate’s degree in social science, a bachelor’s degree in professional writing, and a master’s degree in special education.

A book enthusiast, Ms. Means’s favorites are Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and Pride and Prejudice. She also enjoys Doctor Who, space, and attending fan conventions. Her daughters once attended River Bend, but they are now both in college. She also lives at home with her husband and cats.
