Ms. Tami York
My name is Tami York. My husband Chris and I live in Purcellville and are parents to 1 girl and 3 boys ages 21, 18, 14, and 12! Our oldest Emma is a senior at James Madison University! She is studying to be a teacher and when she is home from school she subs here at Moorefield Station. Our oldest joined his sister at James Madison University this year and is a freshman!!! Our 14-year-old is a freshman in high school this year and our youngest is a sixth grader. We also have 2 Cockapoos named Laney and Madison! In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family. You can often find me cheering on my boys at their baseball games/golf matches or spending time shopping with my daughter.
I graduated from Virginia Tech where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Go Hokies! After graduating from college, I taught first grade at Sanders Corner Elementary for 3 years. I stayed home with my children until I returned to teaching in 2016. I taught at a preschool in Western Loudoun prior to returning to LCPS. This will be my fourth year teaching Kindergarten here at Moorefield Station! I love teaching Kindergarten and love being a Moorefield Shark!! I am looking forward to a fun and rewarding year!!! GO SHARKS!!
