The McKinney-Vento Act is a federal law that ensures the right of students to go to school even when they are homeless or do not have a permanent address. The Act aims to reduce barriers that have prevented many homeless youth from enrolling, attending and succeeding in school.
The McKinney-Vento application is now online. The application is available in both Spanish and English. It can be accessed through a phone, laptop, or tablet. Starting in the 2020-2021 school year, ALL applications must be submitted online through this link. If parents/youth need assistance in completing their application, please contact your school staff.
