Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Donald Keener

This is my 39th and final year in the field of education.  After graduating from Edinboro State College, (now Edinboro University of Pennsylvania), my journey began in the small town of Shacklefords, VA.  After this experience my fun continued in the state Arizona on the Navajo reservation as a member of Ganado Unified School district and the Ganado Fire Department (EMT/Lieutenant).  The journey continued in Warren County VA, for the next 12 years until the summer of 1999 when my journey landed me in Loudoun County teaching at Lovettsville Elementary School.  The next year Mr. Rocky Fera hired two deans at Harper Park MS. (Mr. Shipp and myself)  The next 4 years were served by working with and for Ms. Claudia Bolen-Sullivan and Mr. Shipp, before moving up to assistant principal, working with Mr. Shipp as an AP together for a year.  Mr. Shipp then became the principal.  In 2016 this last leg of my journey was begun as I was fortunate enough to be reunited with Mr. Shipp here at Woodgrove.
