Ms. Carlow grew up in Manchester, NH, got a BS from Cornell University majoring in entomology and a MS from Texas A&M University majoring in entomology. She worked at The Smithsonian Institution/ National Museum of Natural History's entomology department for 10 years until her first daughter was born.  Her first daughter graduated from Woodgrove HS in 2020.  Her second daughter is a junior at Woodgrove HS.  Ms. Carlow is head coach of the Varsity Swim Team.
