Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Heidi Buckner
I have been a school psychologist in Loudoun County Public Schools for over twenty years. I have been at Woodgrove since the school’s opening and have been full-time at the school since the 2017-2018 school year. I am part of the Unified Mental Health Team at Woodgrove and provide mental health support to students with the school counseling department. Additionally, I am a member of the Child Study Team at Woodgrove and complete psychological evaluations for students suspected of having an educational disability.
I hold an Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in School Psychology from Radford University. I received my Masters of Science and Bachelors of Science in psychology at Radford University, as well. Prior to coming to Loudoun County Public Schools, I worked for two years as a school psychologist in Berkeley County, West Virginia. During my career in Loudoun County, I have had the opportunity to work at the preschool level through high school level but I am thrilled to now work primarily with high school age students. I am a co-advisor of the We’re All Human club at Woodgrove. At the county level, I am a Sources of Strength trainer and a Restorative Practices trainer and facilitator.
I look forward to the current school year. Go Wolverines!
