My name is Ms. Edwards.  I am so excited to be part of the Lightridge High School community!  This is my 21st year teaching. It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures.  I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us!

 I was born in Washington, D.C., and raised in Fairfax County, Virginia.  I have an undergraduate degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a master’s degree in Special Education.  I am certified in the areas of Special Education K-12, History, and Social Sciences 6-12.  I have taught special education in elementary, middle, and high school as well as general education history and social sciences in grades 7-11.
