Hola, I am Eddier Montoya, and I am here to help you and guide you in the journey of learning Spanish! I'd like to share a little information about myself. I have taught various Science, Math and Spanish classes for about 22 years. Prior to LCPS, I have taught Science  in a Spanish Immersion program at Edison Middle School in Sioux Falls, SD. Before I moved to SD, I taught Algebra at Sterling Middle School (VA) for seven years. I have experience teaching  several grades, including University, High school, Middle, and Elementary. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Physics from the University of Antioquia (Colombia), where I also completed a teacher training program. I obtained a Master’s in Teaching of Spanish / English as a Foreign Language from the Universidad Iberoamericana (Puerto Rico). I have been married for 16 years to an incredible woman, Eliana, I am also a proud father of 3 children, Pablo, Mateo and Thomas, who fill my life with joy. Lastly, I enjoy my free time traveling with my family, as well as practicing cycling and exercising.

I love teaching and interacting with my students, but my goal is to instill a lifelong passion for living in harmony, learning and exploring. I have very high expectations for myself as a teacher and for my students, and I have discovered that this is an effective formula for success! I want this to be a pleasant year for all of you, but also a productive, challenging and successful year.
